Who we are.
Soltar is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME, pending registration], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS, pending registration]. These terms govern your use of the site and any booking you make through it. By using Soltar, you agree to them.
What Soltar is.
Soltar is a marketplace. We help you discover and request to book surf camps, surf lessons, and surf spots offered by independent partners (camps, schools, and instructors). We are not the operator of any camp, school, or lesson, and we are not a party to the contract for your stay or lesson: that contract is between you and the partner. Each partner is responsible for the accuracy of their listing, for delivering the trip or lesson as described, and for their own safety and licensing standards.
Requesting to book.
Most listings use request to book: you submit your dates, guest count, and package choice, and the partner confirms or declines your request. A booking is only confirmed once the partner accepts it. Availability and prices are set by the partner and can change until a booking is confirmed.
Payment.
Today, you pay the camp or school directly for your booking; Soltar does not collect or hold your payment. Prices are shown in the listing's own currency and may also be shown converted to your selected display currency at daily reference rates for convenience only. You are charged in the listing's own currency, and the converted amount is an estimate, not a guarantee. Taxes, where applicable, are calculated and collected as described at checkout or by the partner.
Soltar separately invoices partners a commission on confirmed bookings. This does not change the price you pay the partner.
Changes and cancellations.
Cancellation terms, including any deposit and refund rules, are set by each partner and shown on the listing and in your booking confirmation. If a listing does not state a cancellation policy, contact the partner or our support team for details before you rely on a refund. To change or cancel a booking, contact the partner directly or reach out through your account and we will help.
Partner obligations.
Partners agree to list accurate availability, pricing, and policies; to honor confirmed bookings; to hold any licenses, insurance, and safety standards required for their activity and location; and to respond to booking requests and guest messages in a timely manner.
Your account.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction to book, or book with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian.
Liability.
Surf activities carry inherent physical risk. Soltar is a discovery and booking platform, not the provider of your camp, lesson, or activity, and is not liable for the acts, omissions, or safety practices of partners, or for injury, loss, or damage arising from a booking. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount of any commission we received in connection with the booking in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION, pending registration], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Changes to these terms.
We may update these terms as the product and our legal setup evolve. We will post the updated version here with a new date. Continuing to use Soltar after a change means you accept the update.
