I started surfing at 14 on the cold Baltic and never looked back — chasing waves through Portugal, Morocco and Indonesia before settling on this stretch of coast, where the variety of breaks means there's always something for every level.

Teaching style
Calm, encouraging and safety-first. We start on the sand with the theory and the pop-up, then head into water chosen for your level — never out of your depth, literally or figuratively. I film the key moments so you can see your own progress, and I'd rather you nail three good waves than flail at thirty.

Meeting point
We meet at the wooden boardwalk at the north end of Praia de São Lourenço, next to the blue surf-hire container. Free parking is right there — I'll be the one with the yellow board and a coffee.
Good to know
Cancellation
You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your lesson start time.
Weather & swell
No surf, no problem. If conditions are flat or unsafe, the school reschedules you: message them to pick a new time.
What's provided
Most lessons include a board and wetsuit, see each lesson for exactly what's provided.
Minimum age
Suitable for ages 12+. Younger surfers are welcome with a parent or guardian present, message the school first.
Before you arrive
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and water, and arrive 15 minutes early to get fitted.
